David Hannoun

David is an operational expert with 9 years of experience, he brings a technical and practical approach to complex business problems. Originally from Paris, David’s obsession with solving problems stemmed from when he was 5 years old working with his father at his eyeglass store, which continued through his experience running over 600 retail stores in the sneaker and apparel industry.

David is passionate about giving back and empowering others. After graduating from Emory University, he created an initiative that served the dual purpose of teaching college students about entrepreneurship and mentorship while benefiting Haitian education, something that he is still working on through his joint Youth Development Program in Haiti.

The next logical step for David is to help his local community here in the US. As a student at University of Chicago Booth School of Business, he was shocked by the lack of emphasis or focus on safety, which sparked the idea to launch ShieldEd with his classmate and cofounder Israel Dartiguenave.
